Clements Ribeiro
Love the contrasting prints on the dresses and the tights. One part ethnic, one part jungle, all parts eye-catching.
Craig Lawrence
While many collections focused on prints or lace, Lawrence's uses of textured lines was a breath of fresh air.

Saloni

Maria Grachvogel
I found these 3 collections somewhat similar in terms of the print used--something reptilian or butterfly-inspired at work? Love the relaxed, loose, floaty silhoutted at Grachvogel though: a bit more SS than FW.
Anna Sui
A widely varied collection, eclectic and true to Sui's style. I particularly like the contrast of lime green against the dark, dark purple in the second outfit.
Jason Wu
What can I say--I'm s sucker for lace and anything that's embroidered. Wu's collection was elegant, wearable (often something quite important in my book)and I never realised how well that gold-ish, olive green went so well with black.
Other notable collections:
Band Of Outsiders: very wearable, but a tad boring, to me. I saw one or two wow looks, and the rest i scanned past. One interesting thing though--the shoes. The models had boots with bright red laces on them, or camel-gold coloured Adidas-basketball-shoes-lookalikes. An unexpected pop.
Theyskens Theory: Fashion goes grunge goth--plum red lips, elf-like hair, paired with worn, loose-cut denim, bulky coats and barely-there black stockings.
Adam: Another collection that dealt with lace, but lace that seemed so thin and delicate. And the layered, pleated lightweight skirts and dresses were TDF.
Mary Katrantzou: Koi prints, exaggerated silhouettes--Katrantzou's collection reminded me of the antique handpainted Chinese varnished pots my mum has. If anybody can do bright and brilliant, it's Katrantzou. In particular one dress, defiantly billowy amidst the rigid forms of the rest of the collection, reminded me that she can indeed do something other than just digital prints on a silky base. A collection that could have been garishly messy, but somehow pulled off beautifully.
Okay, that's enough for now. Time to get some schoolwork done, but I'll be posting again very soon ;)
